If you are a woman who has had a baby and you have been told you have a diastasis and also have been told any of the following:

1. You can’t close it, you’ll have it forever.
2. Just don’t workout until it closes itself.
3. Make sure you never ever slouch on the couch or anywhere else for that matter. (for some reason this is seriously one I’ve heard more than once!)
4. The only way to heal that is with surgery.
5. It’s only 1 or 2 fingers wide so don’t worry.

Then I am chiming in to say that none of the above is true. Know your truth which is that you can definitely manage and most likely completely close an abdominal diastasis. (Yup, YOU!)

It isn’t a curse, it isn’t a “f%*& you” from the universe, it isn’t just the way it has to be because you had a baby, and it isn’t something you just have to live with for the rest of your life.

By the way, it could also be the reason you’re in back pain, have a weak pelvic floor, or feel like you can’t lose your belly.
