Reset & Restore: Postnatal Pilates Class Series

Weekly Class with Charlotte

Living in this global crisis doesn't take away the fact that there are new mamas out there who are on or want to start the journey of healing your body. Whether you had a baby a few weeks ago or years ago, this class is for you. Charlotte will take you through Pilates-based exercises that address abdominal diastasis healing and pelvic floor healing + strengthening. You'll also receive a full-body workout with multiple modification options so that you receive exactly what you need.

Expect to walk away feeling like you are connecting to your core in a way that has been lacking for you. You will learn tools you can apply into your everyday life that will help you live in less pain. And finally, work with someone who will empower you as a new mama so that you no longer have to feel confused about what you can and can't do. The focus of this class will be strengthening in a functional way that is safe yet effective so that you can feel confident that the movement you are choosing to do is indeed making a positive difference.

This class is open to ALL levels. Modifications will be offered throughout the class so that you receive exactly what you need. No Pilates experience is required to participate. All you need for this class is a computer, tablet, or smartphone + your body + the floor. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing you can move in and putting a mat, blanket, or towel on the floor for your comfort. Your baby/kid/dog is welcome (but not required!). You will be muted during the class, so there is no need to worry about background noise.

About Charlotte

Charlotte is a Certified Pilates Instructor and the Founder of Charlotte Blake Pilates, a boutique Pilates studio in Greenwich Village, New York City. She has been working within the perinatal community for over ten years, providing one-on-one support, group programs, workshops, lectures, and distance learning for prenatal and postpartum women. Charlotte empowers women with tools that can be integrated during pregnancy and well beyond childbirth. She focuses on helping women understand what an abdominal diastasis is, how to prevent or heal from diastasis, and how to move and exercise safely from prenatal to postpartum. Charlotte is committed to spreading science-based, not fear-based, information and support that is tailored to each body. She takes the time to get to know each woman and determine what will best serve her and her body, listening attentively even when others haven’t. As a mom herself (to her beautiful son, Bodhi), Charlotte brings a fresh perspective to perinatal Pilates. It is her intention to help women better understand their body so that they can stand firm in their power and embrace the beauty in their life.
